Location: Xianyang, China | Year: 2020 | Product Model: MS1 Stadium Light | Quantity: 80 pcs | Lux Level: 750 lux |
Xianyang Vocational and Technical College commissioned a new lighting scheme for its main outdoor sports field in 2020, delivered with 80 units of the MS1 Stadium Light at a maintained illuminance of 750 lux.
At 750 lux the field comfortably meets the requirements of university-level competition and inter-college fixtures while remaining economical for evening training. Eighty fixtures were positioned on the existing pole infrastructure, and each was assigned a beam angle and aiming coordinate calculated to build uniformity across the whole surface rather than a bright centre and dark corners. The external anti-glare visor was specified deliberately: with the lights in constant use by students, keeping stray brightness out of sightlines during high balls and long passes is a student-safety matter as much as a comfort matter. MS1's die-cast aluminium body, IP66 rating and surge-protected driver suit a campus installation exposed to dust, wind-driven rain and campus-wide electrical disturbance, while high-efficacy LEDs keep the running cost per evening session low. DALI control lets staff set training, match and late-night low-output scenes from one point.
The project was completed and handed over on the college's schedule. Facilities management reported a substantial improvement in evening pitch usability, and the sports department made the field available for significantly more evening sessions than before.
